Waterfalls of Western North Carolina

Posted by Juan Pons

With an average rainfall of more than 90 inches annually, the Southwestern part of North Carolina is THE rainiest region in the eastern US. With more than 250 waterfalls, Transylvania County has rightfully earned its unofficial title of “The Land of Waterfalls.”

Here is a short clip of some of the more spectacular waterfalls of this region.

If you are interested in shooting photos and/or videos of the many waterfalls around this area, make sure to sign-up for my “Waterfalls of Western North Carolina” photo workshop taking place in May of 2010.

To be notified when the signup process opens, sign-up for my newsletter (check out the box on the right-hand side of the blog). I will be sending out details on this and other workshops in the next couple of weeks.

Technical details: All video and still shot with the Canon 5D MarkII, Canon EF 17-40 f4 L & Canon EF 24-105 f4 L

Enjoy!
