I really appreciate you taking the time to explain your thought processes like this. Very helpful. Great work, both photographically and the essay.

Looking at your web site after finding you under Chatham County. Miss home, and your photos are simply exquisite and a wonderful way to remember the beauty of NC.
Really enjoy your work.

Elcoj,

Although I try to write one major piece every week, I don't guarantee it. Life is too busy and unpredictable at this point.

If you follow me on twitter, I do announce when I do post a new article on the website. Alternative you can subscribe to the RSS feed on the website to be alerted when new posts are added.

Thanks,

Betsy,

Thanks for the kind words, although having good equipment helps in making good images, knowledge and technique are much more important. Don't get caught in the equipment game, thinking that having the latest and greatest equipment is going to improve your photography, it seldom does.

Practicing, reading, learning and perhaps taking some workshops would provide a much better avenue to improving your images.

Having said that, the Luna Moth was taken with a Canon 30D, and a 180mm Macro lens, the image was taken late afternoon.

Hope that helps.

Michael,

Thanks for the kind words, I am aware of the Photoshelter survey, it is very useful survey and very insightful. However one needs to keep in mind the audience. I am not catering to commercial photo buyers, so although I find some of the information useful, not all of it is applicable to me.

Thanks!

These images are so awesome - I would love to know what camera and lens you were using when you captured the butterfly and the bird - and what time of day you
were shooting - thanks ,Betsy Stuart

Juan,

Excellent images, as always, though it was kind of hard to find the actual galleries!? You are a superb photographer!

Here is something that may be of interest....I know I need to make some changes on my site.
