I love what you have written about shooting wildlife close to home. My backyard is my shooting grounds and I do all I can to attract wildlife, especially-to attract birds to my yard. I had my yard certified through the National Wildlife Federation's “Certified Wildlife Habitat” program about five years ago. All kinds of wildlife come to my yard like, including some undesirables like possums and armadillos, but that's okay because it all a part of the natural habitat.

This is a great article, well written and so true. Love your photography and style.

You are right Rich, unless you are in a big city we are surrounded by wildlife, all we have to do is pay a little attention.

Thanks!

I've been saying the exact thing for years. Open your ears and eyes, and learn patience - there are great wildlife photo ops everywhere - from the countryside to the big city! You've got a fan here, Juan!
